30 Hour Famine, February 25-26 2005

On February 25-26, twenty members of our church and guests participated in the 30 Hour Famine, a program by World Vision. The goal of the 30 Hour Famine is to raise awareness to hunger and to raise money for needy children in the world. Participants slept over night at the church, and the next evening broke their fast at a local restaurant (where the pictures were taken).

The participants got sponsor donations. For every $360 raised, this will feed and care for one needy child for one year. BUT we were told some exciting news, World Vision was awarded several US Government Food and Agriculture Grants that will multiply SEVEN times. the giving. This means that for every $360, seven hungry children will have food and care for one year, instead of just one.

Thank you to anyone who sponsored a child.
