Starting Friday night, a total of 20 youth and adults from our church, along with friends and family and participants from other churches, starved for 30 hours at the Reformed church. They did this in support of World Vision's 30 Hour Famine.

During their 30 hours of fasting, an estimated 36,000 children died due to hunger and hunger related diseases throughout the world. Through the generous sponsorship of our youth, your donations will help to make tomorrow a better place for the many starving children of the world. Thank you.

Don't forget that, due to matching grants, every dollar donated will be quadrupled. So for a gift of $10, $40 will ultimately be given. $40 is sufficient to feed more than one child for one month. Some folks have already asked if additional donations will be accepted. The answer is, yes. Gifts received before March 21 will also be eligible for the matching grant. So, if you missed out before the fast, you still have an opportunity now. Once again, thanks.

The pictures on this page were taken on Saturday night, at the conclusion of the fast, when many of the participants broke bread together at a local restaurant.

Looking ahead, on March 14, that's in 3 weeks, the Junior High Youth Group will be sharing with us, their thoughts and feelings about their fasting and fellowship.

If you have questions, you may speak with Pam or one of the junior high youth.
