Classes

• Sr. Pre-K (4 yr. old): Monday, Wednesday & Friday Classes, 9:00 AM - 11:45 PM, or
  12:45 PM - 3:30 PM. Children must be at least 3 years and 9 months by September 1.
• Jr. Pre-K (3 yr. old): Tuesday & Thursday Classes, 9:00 AM - 11:30 PM, or
  12:30 PM - 3:00 PM. Children must be at least 2 years and 9 months by September 1.
• Parent & Tot (2 yr. old): Monday, Wednesday, or Friday

Program Objectives

Stepping Stones Pre-School of FUMC welcomes the opportunity the share in
your child's early school experiences.

  physical, and cognitive development areas.

• We create and promote an atmosphere where children work and share together.
• We have a professional and caring staff.

Daily Program

Each day, the children begin with self-chosen activities in the various classroom centers. This is followed by a circle time where we do the pledge, calendar, weather, assign daily jobs, hear a story related to our topic of study, and get introduced to our planned small group activities (stations) for the day. After circle time, the children are invited to work on our theme and skill related projects with one of the teachers. After cleaning up from the projects, the children take turns preparing for snack and being class helpers. After snack we enjoy a quiet time where we share books.

The children participate in learning games, manipulative activities, rhythm games, music, large motor activities, and regularly scheduled computer activities. We try to go outside and play every day, weather permitting. The children enjoy our spacious and inviting playground. Throughout the year, special holiday events are planned involving both parents and children.

Registration Requirements

• Completed application form (school information booklet and application
  available by contacting Director at 896-5453).
• A proof of medical examination and updated immunization form for your child
  due no later than the first day of school.
• A non-refundable application fee.
• One month's tuition payment, in advance.
• An annual snack fee.
